The cover of this book is turned inside out: the design is on the inside and the endpapers on the outside. Het Echte Werk (The Real Work) is not printed in standard CMYK, but with neon PMS colors for cyan, magenta, and yellow. This produces an unexpectedly vibrant result, where the images pop off the page.
F.C. de Omslag is a collaboration between the library and the Gouda archives. The initiative explores how they can create new forms of culture together with residents.
The title De Omslag refers to both a book cover and a turning point. Therefore, the cover plays a key role: by literally turning it over, the book invites a fresh look, precisely what F.C. de Omslag stands for.
