Complexity, absurdity and perfectionism characterize the work of Jaap Drupsteen. His video productions consist of countless unique graphic images: where a traditional graphic designer creates one image, Drupsteen creates twenty-five per second. The book contains more than 400 colorful and complex images, the unique frames from his video work.
The cover transcends its traditional function. Drupsteen experimented early on with chroma-keying (green/blue screen), with which he placed actors in different environments. That is why we have developed an app that replaces the blue of the book with images from Drupsteen's work, bringing his video productions to life and making the creative process visible.
